MIND
MENTAL and EMOTIONAL
Emotional wellness typically means a person feels positive, content, and enthusiastic about themselves and the life they are living. When we are subjected to a traumatic event that is beyond our emotional ability to handle, are exposed to constant criticism, unrelenting work demands, or have unsupportive friends and family members, this can lead to illness and actually change the hard-wiring of your brain. Symptoms of emotional distress include: feeling detached from others, moodiness and irritability, difficulty with relationships, reduced interests in life, difficulty concentrating, and anxiety/depression disorders. I can help you reduce these symptoms with:
SELF-PACED EMOTIONAL HEALING PROGRAMS
We’ll discuss your experiences, thoughts, beliefs, behaviors, and emotions and recommend programs to help you heal. Our goal is to free you of past emotional hurts, distorted mental beliefs, and trauma so we can move you into the person you’re meant to be in this lifetime. Programs include: Re-framing techniques, forgiveness, mirror work, clearing trauma, and self-confrontation.
LIFESTYLE and STRESS-REDUCING PROTOCOLS
I will ask you in depth questions such as: how well you are sleeping? Are you experiencing stress and what are you doing to manage it? What is your self-care routine? We’ll get to the root cause of your issue, remove behaviors and lifestyles that are not serving you any longer and replace them with a healthier way of living to repair and rebalance your life. I am deeply committed to providing the tools you need to effectively work with unmanaged stress and regain your sense of joy and internal satisfaction.
BODY
I take an integrative wellness approach by providing you information and recommending solutions for achieving vibrant well-being through balancing body systems, achieving and maintaining proper health, correcting any chronic health issues and assisting in preventing disease.
FUNCTIONAL LAB TESTING
Our motto as an Integrative Medicine Health Coach is to “test not guess”. This leads to more precise healing recommendations and protocols because one-size does not fit all. Laboratory tests include: salivary adrenal and hormone testing, complete stool analysis, food sensitivity, and genetic testing. I believe in prevention and turning your health around before you end up with a disease diagnosis.
INDIVIDUALIZED NUTRITION and EXERCISE
We’ll review your current eating and exercise habits and depending on your goals, help you with weight management, food cravings, digestive issues, and diet. Food is medicine and has the power to reverse disease. By recommending individualized food plans and exercise, I’ll help you optimize your body chemistry and enhance your nutritional practices.
AYURVEDA
Is the 10,000-year-old sister science of yoga and when translated means “the science of life”. People are not the same and are a unique mixture of 3 main Dosha types: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. If you’re interested, I can present to you this amazing framework of medicine and how it approaches hormone and adrenal glands, fatigue, and weight.
SPIRIT
Spirit may mean something different to each of us. It could mean our connection to God, the Universe, a religion or church, our soul, angels, nature, animals, our inner voice or intuition. Part of being human is the search for meaning and purpose in our life. Establishing a spiritual practice enhances our connection to ourselves and a power greater than ourselves, improves our health and deepens our relationship with others. As your health coach, I won’t convince you to adopt a religious belief. My goal is to provide you techniques in meditation, mindfulness, and healing to help you on your spiritual journey.
Social and Personal
RELATIONSHIPS
SOCIAL
Building strong relationships with our family, friends, and community increases our well-being and life expectancy. We thrive when we see ourselves contributing to society. The most important yet least recognized need of most humans is to have a sense of belonging to one another, to our friends and families, to our country, and to our world. We feel like life has more meaning when social relationships provide a sense of belonging. Oftentimes when we don’t feel well enough, we don’t participate in hobbies and tend to isolate from family and friends. Depression, anxiety and physical health issues deprive us of the joy and happiness we once experienced. Isolation and subsequent feelings of loneliness can harm our well-being and has been associated with a wide variety of health problems including: high blood pressure, diminished immunity, cardiovascular disease, infectious disease, and cognitive decline. I will listen and support you and offer suggestions for social activities, community events, and volunteering.
PERSONAL
Depending on your comfort level, we’ll delve a little deeper by looking at your personal relationship with a spouse or significant other. I’ll ask you questions such as: do you feel connected and supported by this person? How is your sexual relationship? Has your libido waned? Has there been a loss of interest in sex by your partner? What other forms of intimacy do you have with your loved one? We’ll discuss ways to improve a situation and look at potential contributing factors such as your body chemistry.
