WINTER
According to Ayurveda this is Vata Season

Winter is cold, dry, and has light qualities. It’s the time of year for rest and reflection with recipes for warmth and comfort. The diet should consist of warm, moist, and heavy food to counter Vata. Eat soups and stews and a handful of nuts daily. Eat butter and natural raw cheeses.

Avoid salads, raw fruits, raw vegetables, pungent, astringent, and bitter tastes. Do favor sweet, salty and sour tastes.

Drink herbal teas made with cumin, fennel, or ginger.
