AUTUMN

There isn’t an Ayurvedic season assigned to Autumn but I believe it’s a combination of Pitta and Vata. Autumn is a transitional time of year when the splendor of Summer begins to fade, hot summer nights begin to cool, leaves turn brilliant colors of yellow, red, and orange and animals begin to store food preparing for a cold winter ahead. We begin to pull those warm sweaters out of the drawer and crave warming teas and comforting stews. Autumn is one of my favorite seasons that I look forward to every year.
