Golden milk

Drink this soothing and relaxing Ayurvedic sleep cocktail to help you sleep at night.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups almond or coconut milk

  • 2 tsp. ground turmeric

  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger

  • 1 tsp ghee or coconut oil (optional)

  • 4-8 strands saffron

  • 1 tsp. cinnamon or a cinnamon stick

  • tsp ground nutmeg

  • tsp. ground cardamom

    1/2 tsp. Avipattikar (to aid menopausal symptoms)

  • Pinch of black pepper

  • Honey, maple syrup, agave, sucanat, Swerve: regular, granulated or brown, monk fruit, erythritol, stevia, xylitol, or coconut syrup - to taste


Combine all ingredients in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Once it starts to simmer, turn to low and cover for 5-10min.
Sweeten to taste, strain if you'd like.
