Fresh Fruit and Oatmeal in a Jar

I know how busy our days can be and we often don’t have time for breakfast. With a little preparation the evening before, make this easy recipe of fresh fruit and oatmeal to give your body the fuel it needs in the morning. Grab it as you go out the door and fill your body with a healthy breakfast. Don’t just drink a caffeinated coffee or tea and wait till noon before you eat. Eating something healthy in the morning also helps your adrenals and balance your blood sugar.


Ingredients

  • ¼ cup blueberries, raspberries, banana, mango, peaches, or nectarines, etc.

  • ¼ cup almond or coconut milk

  • ¼ cup low fat greek yogurt, almond, or coconut yogurt

  • 2 tsp chia seed, flax seed or hemp hearts/seeds

  • ¼ cup Bob’s Red Mill Gluten-Free Old Fashioned Rolled Oats

  • 2 Tbsp. agave, maple syrup, brown sugar, honey, monk fruit or Swerve sugar substitute


Prepare ½ quart ball glass container.

Fill with the rolled oats, seeds, milk and sweetener.

Cover the container with the lid and shake to mix. You can use a spoon to do this too.

Add the fruit in the morning, or let it refrigerate overnight with the oatmeal mixture.

Eat it in the morning and enjoy!
